Description
Medway NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a strategic, values-driven Chief Medical Officer to play a pivotal role in leading clinical quality, safety and professional leadership during a major period of improvement and cultural change.
We are an organisation with ambition. We are delivering our Integrated Improvement Plan at pace, taking determined action following an independent cultural review, and strengthening clinical governance, patient safety and quality outcomes. Central to this is building a more open, supportive and respectful culture where clinicians feel safe to speak up, empowered to improve, and proud of the care they provide.
As Chief Medical Officer, you will provide visible and compassionate leadership across the medical workforce, championing evidence-based practice, learning and continuous improvement. You will be a key voice at Board level, ensuring that clinical insight and patient safety sit at the heart of decision-making as we respond to operational, quality and financial challenge, including our participation in the National Provider Improvement Programme.
We are seeking a strategic and compassionate medical leader who is experienced in working at, or close to board level. You will have exceptional communication skills, with the credibility to inspire clinical leaders and teams, and have a strong track record of leading quality and safety improvement at scale. Most importantly, you will share our BEST values, and help shape a culture focused on delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
If you are motivated by impact, energised by challenge, and committed to improving outcomes for patients and communities, we would love to hear from you.
